Firstly - five stars for ease of ordering and speed of response. No issues there at all. I ordered using the number stamped on the lock and a key turned up within a few days - exactly as I'd hoped.
However - the key didn't fit the lock. Not only did it not turn the lock it wouldn't even fit into the lock. That, to some extent, I can understand. This was a 51yr old motorcycle so maybe the information base or something is incorrect. It's not completely lacking though as I bought an ignition key for it from another supplier on the same just-give-us-the-number basis and that fits perfectly. What gets zero stars from me though is the response to my email 10 days ago reporting the non fitment and asking if anything could be done. I've had zero response and keys2code get zero stars, zero future business and zero recommendations from me as a result.
It may be that there's no way of getting a key for this lock despite having the code and I'd be willing to accept that. As I mentioned it's an old bike from the dawn of time and I was amazed that the key number seemed to be available. However, taking the money but not taking even enough responsibility to discuss it when the key doesn't fit is what this review is based on. So, five stars for speed of service + zero for 'quality' of service = two overall.
Now, I don't want to do the company an injustice. There may be reasons why I've heard nothing, but this review was requested by them and at the time of writing this is the state of play. I have a key I paid for that doesn't fit and despite a request for comment on why I've not heard anything.
